The monsoon season is almost over and it is time that we experience an outbreak of mosquito-borne diseases in India, almost every year. An official report by WHO shows that 17 percent of communicable diseases globally are transmitted by Mosquitoes. Out of this, 12 major mosquito-borne diseases across the globe like chikungunya fever, Zika virus fever, yellow fever, West Nile fever, Japanese encephalitis, dengue, malaria, and more is the leading cause of death.
It is high time that we start taking preventive steps against mosquitos and avoid getting bitten and infected by some vector-bearing lethal diseases.

Mosquitos are most active during the evening hours. Taking appropriate action by creating a physical barrier for their entry to your house works as a great defense mechanism. You must install net doors and covers on doors and windows to restrict mosquito entry.
- Keep your surroundings sanitized and disinfected
Using high-quality sanitation and disinfection products can help you limit the population of mosquitoes in your surroundings. You must follow COVID-19 sanitation protocol as it is the most effective way to clean and disinfect your surroundings.
- Organize fuming and fogging exercises
Fuming an area with an effective mosquito repellent and the killer agent is an effective approach toward limiting their population. You must however take necessary precautions while using such mosquito killer agents.
When it comes to vector-borne diseases, prevention is the best cure, you must follow these steps to ensure you do not have mosquitos breeding in your environment, posing a risk to your health and wellbeing.
